What does it MEAN “BEING climate positive”?
A product is deemed climate-positive if the number of carbon emissions released during its manufacturing process is offset.
This means totalling up all the emissions that are emitted during the entire manufacturing process of a product and offsetting these emissions plus an additional amount. If the same emissions are offset, then the product is carbon neutral.
Companies often Offset Emissions → by using renewable energy sources to power a portion of the manufacturing process or buying Carbon Credits →.
Hence, the next time you purchase a product, check if any “climate-positive” options are available to reduce your Carbon Footprint →.
